My Sp700's owners manual mentions nothing about the Demand Drive hubs nor when or how to change the fluid in them. Anyone know the procedure on how to do this?

Their is no Hub fluid to change. The only fluid you have to change in the front drive system is the front differential fluid. To change it, you have drain the fluid and refill. It takes 5 oz. to fill it to the proper amount. Use Premium Demand Drive Hub Fluid, part # 2871654. The service book recomends changing this every 100hrs/12 months/1000 miles. Which ever one comes first.

Thanks elroy, I wasn't aware that the 700 didn't have the fluid filled hubs like the earlier sportsman's. Are the service manuals for the 700 available yet for purchase by the public? I would love to get one! Anyway, thanks again for the info.

I don't know if the manual is availible to the general public. I would think so since thay sent one for shop use. Then again we've been waiting for more SP700's for over a month.

I'll check on it when I get to work in about 3 hours.

The service manual for the SP700 is #9916577. The suggested retail price is $49.75 and it is availible.

Sorry I didn't get to post this sooner but I was really busy at work today.
