What port would do best for my scrambler 400? I do play drags with buddies, Fast trail riding, jumps, and a little mud. I have a trail pipe, and plan to get a 12:1 pump gas dome from HPD. would a race port do good with these mods? Thanks!

P.S: Looking for good places to ride near Dallas, Texas

 

If you already have the trail pipe then you should also use trail porting.If you had of bought a top-end pipe the race porting would be fine.Don't work against yourself by mixing the two.I think a race setup would be too peaky for trail riding anyway.

 

The race port, at least HPD's, is not peaky.

Given the type of riding you listed I think the trail mod would suit your needs perfectly. You would not be able to run pump with the race port anyway so you'd need to choose a different head. Get the 12.1 head, trail port and the 39PWK, You will not be dissappointed.
