i was just wondering if i could get some info on buying my first atv....what i should get....should i start off big or what....i really like the new scrambler 400 4x4..or is that to much..honest feed back would be appreciated..and if anyone can give me the good and bad things about the sc400 4x4...

if you like a fast paced experiance try the scrambler...if you need cargo carrying or "low geared" ability go with a Magnum or Sportsman....don't worry about the 400 bieng "too much"if you don't have a little healthy fear and respect the smallest of quads can be deadly...hope you get that quad soon!

To daggs129 You need to tell us what you want an atv for. All atv's specialize where each one is best for different needs and or uses.

rangerchet y2k polaris expedition 425 cc 5 speed.

Ranger was correct when he said tell us what you are going to do with this bike. I prefer the larger utility bikes rather than the faster sportier bikes. This is because I live in a mountainous area where there is no nead for speed and high gearing. If you are going to ride in sand or flat trails the Scrambler might not be a bad buy. If you were looking for speed plus climbing and a little bit of low end power you could look at the Explorer 400. Now if you are going to do a little more mudding you could look at the 4wd Scrambler 500. It seems to be a pretty good mudder.
