I was wondering if anyone is using a bigger jet than a 170 with a stock carb. ?? I'm just wanting to make sure I'm getting enough fuel as I know bad things will happend if not..When I put the 170 in I didn't have to move the needle at all,,that's why I'm thinking maybe I should go to a 180 ??????maybe ????????????????????

I've got a 00 TB that is stock. It comes with a 130 main jet.
I live in Groveport Ohio and two weeks ago when it snowed and
the temp dropped below 40. I changed the jetting to a 140. Thats
what the manual called for. I pulled the kids around all day in
the snow with no problems. I think a 170 main is too big.
Due you still have a stock carb? If you have something bigger
then I would think that you would only have to move one jet size.

When I got my pipe it came with a 150 & a 160, I put the 160 in and I didn't think it was getting enough gas so I went to my dealer and got a 170,put it in and it does not seem to be too rich at all,,if anything maybe still a little to lean so maybe I'll try putting the 180 in and if that's to rich I'll move the needle up a notch......

I have the RCR stage 1 kit on my Blazer. No other engine mods. The kit came with a 140 main. I had rick send me a 150 and it has been about perfect since. 180 seems kinda high to me.

I would just keep an eye on the color of the spark plug.
That will tell you. A light tan to brownish color is good!

I have a 99 TB with HPD pipe and clutch kit,The motor is 60 over. I have a stock carb. I have a 175 main jet and the needle is in the 4th slot and it still runs too lean at 3/4 to full throttle I going to go to a 180 main jet and if that doesnt take care of pinging I'm going to go to a aftermarket carb. A flatside 33 or 34mm carb. From AAEN

TRAILBLAZERMAN I went with the 170 and the needle is still in the stock position which I think is the third slot (not for sure what the stock position is as I didn't have to move it)..I am also running race fuel which makes this thing run pretty d### good.. I still can't believe what a differance that pipe and jetting made...
I really liked this bike before but now it's like having a whole new bike to play with....I'm very happy with it,,can you tell...

Got a sp500 and a 01 trail blazer. although the trail blazer is the wifes, i love to ride it too. got any not too expensive ways to make the bottom end stronger? and is the jetting talked about above hard to do and where do you get the parts? and while i'm asking all these dumb questions, where do you get good aftermarket polaris parts other than the dealer? i can't seem to find many. would appriciate any help. thanks!
