Its kinda weird because i did try doing that today before going into the mud. it cuts the clean up time by almost 75% i think. spray all of your plastic. But dont spray the seat of course. but it does help as far as cleaning it up.

it works alright for about a day and then the dirt and dust stick right to it. it sure makes the black plastic look nice though...

hey guys, try soaking a rag with cheap baby oil then wiping it all over the plastic, not the seat, this works well in shinning her up and lasts longer then armor all and makes cleaning up easier. i do it to my sp500 and trail blazer. i'll have to give the wd40 a try sometime

I had a dealer suggest this to me. He said for ATV plastic try mop and glow. Supposedly this makes clean up easier. I thought it was a bit odd but I just thought I'd pass it on.

Mop&Glo is what I used back in the early 80's to make faded plastic look new.

Oh, yes. Don't put any WD-40 on the grips either!

Trailhog. Did the mop and glow actually work to bring some life back to your plastic?

try the tire foam it works great just wash your quad then spray entire quad with it and walk away works even better out in the sun.

The best thing I have found is Blue Silicone (It's a clear/blue liquid). We buy it from a Detail shop supplier for $50 for 5 gallons. I believe it is used as a tire dressing but it works awesome on the quads. Let me assure you this stuff is nothing like WD-40, Armor All or Son of a Gun, my experience with those is that they wash right off with a little water. There are two kinds of Blue Silicone: water-soluble and solvent-soluable. We use the solvent-soluable so it does not rinse off with water (a little degreaser will take it right off). This stuff will make your quad look like new and water will bead on the plastic after using it. Even after pressure washing the plastic, the stuff did not completely rinse off and the water would still bead. I spray it on the entire machine with a pump-up insecticide sprayer and it makes clean-up much easier and keeps the quad looking good.
