I've been daydreaming about buying a Scrambler 500 4x4 for months now. Today, at a boring meeting, a startling though crossed my mind. "What if the Scrambler, due to its extremely heavy weight (especially around the front end), can't even wheelie?!" This was a horrifying revelation! If somebody could write back and give their input on the "wheelie-bility" of this machine, I'd greatly appreciate it.

where did you get extremly heavy from?
I have a 400 4x4 and i can wheelie like crazy, hell, even an xplorer 400 can wheelie, i know for a fact the 500 can hold wheelies as long as you have the ability and ***** to do so, its an extremly powerfull machine

My Scram 400 95 can do very good wheelies... if you have the ***** as a bull. It's difficult to lift the front wheels, but when they take off... you have to be very good to control the wheelie as you want.

I didn't think a 4x4 would be much for wheelies before I bought my Scrambler 500. I didn't buy it to be sporty so I didn't care. After two months of owning it, I can say I never knew how sporty a 4x4 can be. I now spend a lot of time practicing wheelies. They are easy to pull but hard to hold. I also tested the wheelie bar accidentally. I stood it strait up once and that was a weird feeling. It dropped back down by itself and I took off again.

Wheelie away, it was a little hard to get used to in stock form. But when i added a clutch kit it's hard to keep the front down on a fast take off. You will not be let down about it's performance.

compared to a normal sport quad (like a 400ex for example) a scrambler is a b|tch to get in a wheelie! i don't know what sport quads these other guys have ridden but my guess is not much if their all talkin about how easy it is to wheelie a scrambler. and yes i have tried and yes i have done it before.

Especially my 400, but both my scramblers wheelie pretty easy. Not nearly as good as a light quad like a 400ex but deffinately enough to be a crowd pleaser or for logs on a trail. I can wheelie my scramblers almost as far as there is room. If you look at my pics in my brand new photo's album at the link you can see a picture of me. They may be heavy, but they have the power to do it.

I have absolutly no prob making my scram rise to the occasion. It will stay up forever. Once you get the hang of it it's like riding a bike.
