I've been seriously considering going with the FMF pipe combo and the Ram valve for my 400 and was wondering if anyone else has used this yet on theres and had any feedback?

Todd, I recently purchased FMF's gnarly torque pipe and turbine core 2 silencer\spark arrestor for my 98 Sport 400. It also has boydsen reeds and spacer block. I changed the main jet to a 260 and added a K & N filter. I really like the pipe, that is , until the weld broke on the d*#% thing. Anyway, Rocky Mountain ATV said send it back and they would send a new one right away. The pipe loses a little bit on the bottom end, but the midrange hit is awesome, with good topend. Hope this helps! Oh yea, I almost forgot to mention the way cool exhaust note!!

How much did yo have to give for it? Do they have a power core silencer for it or do yo have to go with the spark arrestor? Did you go with the rad valve to or just the reeds,Im not sure what the difference is between the boyseen rad valve and the fmf ram valve other than 50 bucks? I would be interested in any other mds you have and there results thanks Todd

Todd, the pipe was $150 and the tb2 s\a was $120. I don't know if the power core silencer is made to mate up with this pipe or not. I am using the stock reed cage. Another great mod is a steering damper. I got a 7-pos damper from HPD and it works great. All the bump steer is completely gone. If you get one, you actually have to watch how hard you hit big holes and ruts because you won't feel it. I'm sort of concerned that I'm going to bend something.

Sounds pretty good VMAX Ive thought about a steering damper before but wondered if it made any harder to turn? Im probly going to let my waranty expire and go with the FMF set-up pipe,s/a & ram valve and spacer.Thats as far as ill probably go for now,I put a RCR kit on my TB I had and It helped a good deal in the woods so I can imagine what my 400 will be like!!
