Hello. I am new to this site. I just picked up my new SP 700 yesterday and noticed somthing of concern. While drivng it in the snow in AWD, the handlebars where really being torqued in different directions (shaking)...almost like each front wheel was fighting the other. My father and brother both have '99 SP500's which I have ridden quite a bit. I don't recall ever feeling that tug back in forth in the handlebars on theirs, however, I have never driven them in the snow. I was just curious if this was a characteristic of the ASW system since the rear wheels were spinning so fast in the snow or if I have a possible problem in the front end. I obviously have not ridden yet on dirt, mud or gravel as everything is still pretty frozen up here!! Thanks in advance for your thoughts!

P.S. First impressions of this machine are AWESOME!!

Link 2,
I have a 60" plow and a 2500 winch that lifts the plow and I push a ton of snow. I have noticed that my machine does the same thing yours does in the same configuration that you described. I don't think it is anything to be concerned about, but again, I am no expert. Any thoughts from anyone else?

How much snow were you diving in? Does it still do it on hard packed snow?

I'm pretty sure it's just the wheels "fighting" for traction on a slippery surface(the snow). Since the front wheels are locked in AWD, and not a limited slip differential, if one wheel gets traction while the other is just slipping on the snow, the side with traction will pull. This is common when traveling on snow.

In other words...that sounds like a common occurrence.
