Another Question about Mods
#1
I have a 2002 TrailBlazer , maybe 7 hrs. on it. I like the machine but I wish it had just a little more snap off the get go. or even act like it wants to lift the front tires off the ground when I hammer the throttle. But here is my question and I am real confused and not to mention stupid in this area. I was thinking about getting a clutch kit. ( don'tknow which one is the right one for me ). But I had heard if I do add a different clutch kit to it that I could be causing problems to the engine because then I will be making the machine run at higher rpms. Don't know if I was getting my chain pulled or if it the truth. Also I heard if I add an aftermarket clutch kit to it I void the warranty. Can I add just a different exhaust system to it to give me what I am looking for, and if so which one. I live in Iowa and really all I do is climb hills and run around dirt tracks. Or right now this time of year MUD tracks. Let me know what you guys think.
Thanks

That's not a stupid question at all.
I am sure that you could clutch your machine to run higher RPM's than it should, but if you talk to Rick Ritter at RcR (www.rittercycle.com) or HPD (www.hpd-inc.com) they can get you set up with a kit specifically designed for your quad (and even your riding style).
A clutch kit would be a good place to start, unfortunatly I don't know how the Warranty issue works.
I'm sure someone else has some answers for you.
Good luck,
-Josh
