I was wondering if anyone had any tips about washing ATVs: will pressure washing take off paint on the frame? what is the best way to make the red body shine? can you stand the machine up on end to get at the bottom of it without damaging it?

Pressure washing will not hurt a thing. Try not to spray directly on the joints (ball joints, u-joints). Grease the machine after each time you powerwash. Water gets forced into the joint when pressurized water is used.
You can tip the machine up but I do not do it with my Sportsman. If you do, turn your gas off before attempting. Armor All will make the plastic, seat and the racks look nice and new.
