Trailblazer runs bad
#1
Hi I have a 2000 trailblazer 250. I just bought it used off of someone. Have rode it a few times since purchased, has been running real good no problems. I figured since it was used I should change the oil in it. When I drained out the old oil, there was very little came out of it. Maybe a cople of teaspoons that was it. I did not get an owners manual with it so Not being sure that was normal or not, I called my local polaris dealer to find out they said it should hold about 1/2 a quart. I put that back into it. Now it dont run right, it smokes real bad and runs rough like it is choking out. I have checked the choke and it seems to be working right. Could anyone help me out with this. Thank you in advance.

Dude a 2000 Trailblazer is a 2 stroke!!!! You don't put any oil in the engine. Take it to a dealer to be cleaned out ( not the dealer you called he obviously doesn't know his products ) and have him explain what kind of oil to use and where to put it.

Could it have been the tranny oil?
Like Buffalo said, it doesn't have engine oil. If you topped off the injector oil resevoir, make sure you added oil that is for oil injection, not pre-mixing. My buddy did that on his Blaster, and it smoked quite a bit till we drained it.
