You can pull up Hotseatperformance.com and see some pics of theirs. The ones Ron has (AC) are probably one of the better ones to work with. You can also try a Raptor set, I think they are flatter, and don't have the kick-up. Unless you get a stretched +2.5" swingarm they might be tight by the tires, but experimentation will sort things out. The Hot Seat units are spendy, but you only have to cut a forward peg off, there isn't any welding, unlike installing the other units. You can also do a search on the topic....there have been many Q's before.

I got this off hot seat sweb site, they are the only company that makes the nerf bars
for polaris sport models.(i think) Tell me if that sounds easy.***** As for the bumbers Dg makes a good looking full bumber for an ok price, while polaris makes one for a lot more. You judge witch ones look better.(see way below)

STEP 1. Remove the 3 bolts, washers and nuts holding the fenders to the front and back of the floorboards on each side of the machine. Remove the 4 nuts and bolts holding the floorboards to each side of the frame and remove them from the machine. Remove the clutch cover from the left side and the right-hand side covers from the machine.

STEP 2. With the floorboards and side covers removed, cutting on the frame is possible. (NOTE: At this point you will not be able to return the bike back to its stock form without footrest supports and plates back on.) Starting with the recoil side of the machine, you will notice 2 main footrest supports (1 front & 1 rear) and a plate linking them together. The front support will need to be cut off flush with the frame. (See picture 1.) A reciprocating saw with a metal cutting blade works best. You will also need to cut the support plate off of the rear support. Be sure not to cut any of the rear support itself. Once completed, the rear support will be your foot peg (See pic. 5, page 2.) Usually you will have 4 welds holding the support plate on. Once you have the plate cut off the plate you need to grind the welds of the rear support in order for the nerf bars to mount properly.

STEP 3. Take the right hand nerf bar and hold it up with the foot peg support on the nerf bar on the back side of the rear foot rest support (See picture 3.) and secure it there with c-clamps so that you can mark the holes that need to be drilled in the frame. Once the holes are marked in the frame, remove the nerf bar. Drill the four (4) 21/64” size holes in the frame. Now mount the nerf bar with the supplied nuts, bolts and washers. Next drill two (2) holes through the foot peg and peg support and secure it with the supplied nuts, bolts and washers.

STEP 4. Now take your stock floorboard and drill out the 3 rivets that hold the metal foot peg to the floorboard and remount it to the new foot peg on the machine. Drill 3 new holes and secure it with the supplied rivets. (See picture 5.) Install the netting with the supplied hardware. The right hand side cover will need to be trimmed to fit around the rear nerf bar support.

STEP 5. For installation on the left-hand side, refer back to steps 2-4. NOTE- When you cut the front footrest support on the left hand side you will want to leave 2 to 3 inches sticking out. This will give the clutch cover some protection. Reassemble the side covers per step 1. You may want to trim or remove the mud flaps at the bottom of each fender.
(just copy and paste!)

I made my own nerfs abouth a month ago,
Real easy, just used 1 1/4 alloy tube. Got my local exhaust shop to do the bending for me, full cost of about $40 NZD. Just couldnt justify spending about $700NZD to get a set over to me.
Sometimes I wished I lived in the US, to get any parts over here is a joke, with our dollar being so $hit.

My nerf bars are $110-$150 and are made out of 1.125" aluminum tubing and are bent on a computer aided tube bender. You can see them on my web page. My son's quad has them and my old 400 has them. I also made the bumpers on both rides.Denny Racing Domain
