Looking to get a winch for my 2001 Xplorer 400. I'm not real particular about the brand as it won't be used very often. Any advice would be appreciated.

Have you checked Cabelas? When I bought my winch I couldn't find it any cheaper.

 

ebay is you're best bet, I've done alot of checking around and so far ebay is the cheapest. You may even get it cheaper Than normal since you are bidding on a product.

 

Try a place called either "Clemson four wheel drive" or "Clemson 4X4", it'sa out of Clemson, SC. I got the A2500 Warn w/ mounting kit for less than $400, shipping and everything. Just do a search for either name above, they have a web site, just not sure what it is.

I found the address. It it: "clemson4wheel.com" They have very helpful and friendly staff. Thje actual price was $419.90, that was for the Warn A2500, mounting bracket and shipping. So it was actually higher than $400, but not much. Not a bad deal at all.

The price on clemson4wheel.com was 412.00, on CandSSales.com the price is <u>$394.99</u> with free freight!!!

 

If you are going to spend the $394 then spend the extra $5 and get the Ramsey for $399. The wireless remote costs $119 by itself, but is included with their winch! It is so much better than any other system I have used and does have a toggle backup switch, so you are getting the best of both worlds.
