Is it running yet Elroy?

I was just wondering how you are making out getting the TMX carb jetted for your bike. You said it was fouling plugs so you were going to try a 20 pilot. Just curious to see how you are making out.I think I have finally found out what is causing my lean spot. I have 3 different needle jets on order , all which are larger than the stock one.I think the needle jet isnt letting enough fuel in at this throttle position , causing the lean spot. The difference is with the UFO installed the bike is relying for a lot of its fuel from the needle jet even at the lower throtthe positions.
Hope you have better luck than I've had.

He called me a while back , and seemed pleased after the short ride he had . Seems his computer went down in flames , and he is unable to go on line . He'll be back to tell us how it worked out . I have been following you and his continueing saga of 300 modifications . I find it interesting .

sparkys and Rick,
I can in fact verify that his computer is down for the count (his kids crashed it). And I can also verify that he is in fact waiting on plastic for his machine before trying it out completely. He still is running rich on the bottom and wants to try a 27.5 or 25 pilot jet. I plan on giving him my eclectic collection of pilot jets to see if will help out. I kind of figured that he would have to go with very lean pilot jets. Those flat slide carbs really siphon the fuel up through the pilot jet. Kind of like the UFOs do. I kind of figured he would have to rejet after putting his airbox on. He also loves the way it sounds, MUCH better than before.

Everyone,
Like Mike said, my kids sent my computer down in a ball of flames. I found out yesterday that my mother board has a short in it. It would cost me $150 to get my OLD computer fixed. I would rather up grade but that is alot more money. Not sure what I'll do yet.
As for the quad, I am still running the 30 pilot and 220 main. I've been waiting for Hetrick Racing to get back from Georgia because he has about every jet I could possibly need. I hope to get over there today to get the ones I want.(27.5 and 25)
I did take it home this weekend to get some time in the saddle. I also wanted to get a good feel for the jetting that is in it. With its current jetting, it only wants to run at full throttle and even still it is to rich. Regarless, this thing will really haul A$$. It would smoke a stock 400 Scrambler without even trying. Wait until I get the jetting dialed in. Right now it is running flawlessly, outside of the overly rich jetting. The only other complaint I have is that my pipe rattles against my frame. I will fix this here soon. My plan is to have it done by the end of the week. It has been real hard to get time to work on it here at work because I have gotten swamped.
I can also say that I had the 13/30 sprockets on it but switched to 12/30 atleast for now. I'll try the 13/30 after I get the jetting done.
Well, I should get going because I am at work but wanted to let you guys know how its going. I'll check back when time permits.
