Default Tachometer from HotSeat

When I spoke with them this last week, they only had 2 left on the shelf. VDO has since discontinued the unit. I've put mine through tons of hard use, never missed a beat. Give them a call in the morning, they have a nice aluminum mounting bracket for it also.

Holy Heads-up Display Batman! Nice stuff NC! As I've heard, and you probably have experienced, I think that Sunpro unit is a good way to go for the 250/400's. Finding something water-proof, and reliable is the main challenge for the Predator....oh, yea, the 9,000-10,000 operating range is gonna hinder things too.

LOL. Pretty funny. Hey I like to stay informed.... I know the 8,000 rpm won't work, but maybe they have something on their website that would work? They've got alot of stuff. Thanks for the comment and yes Sunpro is good, cheap stuff in my opinion.

I've got the Digitron tach on my TLD and it works great! If you want to see pictures goto the predator 500 central website.

Why wouldn't shouldn't the SunPro Super Tach II work on the predator, if it works on your Scrambler? Isn't this a 4/6/8 cylinder type tach too being an automotive unit?

I've found some single cylinder analog 0-8000 2" tachs out there ($100), so I figure on the predator to rev it and bury the needle then shift!

I think that it has to do with the pilses per revolution that the motors put out. A 2 stroke and 4 stroke put out different pulses per rev. My 500 scram puts out 6 pulses per rev. Check out Westach They have a unit that will work for my scram. It is a 2" full sweep for around $80 and alighting kit is another $8

Heap, LMAO! They will work, I'm told it is still a six pulse setup. Friggin' Boeing engineers...hehe. Hey Heap, all this war stuff, another reason we shouldn't have bought those darn Airbus jets.

Ken, so the SunPro Super Tach II will work on any 6 pulse engine, including the 500 scram?
