Barely Legal,

I am laughing here cause I normally could not see how ANYONE could think that the 650 is not fast. But you are used to the Scrambler so I will forgive you there. Now I understand. But I have yet to lose to a SP700 stock to stock in a race. But those damn Scramblers are fast!

Ghost,

READ my posts. They say nothing about you being wrong about 4X4. I only mentioned the front locking diff. That's it! You are mistaking me for another person of another post in this thread. So I am not retracting anything. If you not going to be respectful then leave the Forum and go somewhere else. No use debating here. As I mentioned, both 4X4 systems have their advantages and they pertain to what a buyer of an ATV wants.

I love Polaris! The originator wanted sporty and I was giving him an idea because I was in his same position.

dustanko....I made an identity mistake....I was talking about true 4 wheel drive and assumed you were saying that kawasucki had true 4 wheel drive...My bad...
But anyway topic started was asking about polaris not kawasucki.

Hey Ghost! It was me who said you didn't know about true 4x4! Earlier Suzuki models, 2002 Kawasaki 650, and the 2002 grizzly have true 4 wheel drive. So did the 1983 Honcho (had no suspension but had four wheel drive. Just thought you would like to know what your talking about when you post so you don't appear to be so foolish.

Limited slip 4 wheel drive is NOT true 4 wheel drive.... there is a mod you can get that will "lock" the front hubs so you can have true 4 wheel drive...but I was assuming we were talking about stock...Kawasucki and Yamha do offer a temporary button that you can pull or push that will temporarily lock the front hubs. but thats not true 4 wheel drive...if you think it is....thats fine...but do realize that polaris is the only quad with true 4 wheel drive like I said before.

As far as quads made 19 years ago (that you say) have true 4 wheel drive...I don't think those apply to someone looking to buy a new quad.

But I can engage my lockers without wheel slip. Yes, I have to lock my hubs with a **** but so far the Polaris has not had the most reliable 4X4 system. It works great though when it works. But I have sunk my fair share of times when the 500 HO did not engage.

Sorry to hear you had probs with your 500...you probably should have taken it to the dealer and have them fix it under warranty.
