front spring HO 500

Put the heavy duty springs on last week. Was pretty easy, just support the strut when you lower it down to pull off the old spring and only lower just enough to compress the spring a little so you can pull it out fron under the top bracket. Take the time to remove the front plastic cab it takes about 10 minutes to move but makes the job much easier and safer. mark the threads before removing the nut on the top of the shock and pay attention to the order in which you remove the parts. Send me a private message and you can give me a call for more detailed instructions.

I have 500HO Special Edition with Rawhides. I put a plow on it with a winch (double tube bumbers) and put in the spring rubbers right away. I rode a hundred miles fairly hard (without the plow) and didn't really bottom out. My front doesn't sag and I guess for $15 I would try the rubbers first.
I think the rebounding would have more to do with strut valving than springs.

I guess I really didn't mean rebound. I bottom out some and the front seams soft. Like when I go thru a dip, a normal atv will kinda wheely out of it, mine won't, it just dives down. It was better when I first got it and the front was stiff still.

I had the springs on the front of my98 sp500. triclaw mag 27" tires, Moose County Plow. They did not bring up the front end at all. just made for a little stiffer ride loaded or unloaded.
I changed to the Rubber spring spacers $15.00 per pair. Best thing I've done. better fender clearance and does not bottom out at all anymore. I only installed one set so far. don't see the reason to install both sets.
Go for the rubbers

Put the 700 springs on the front. They are the same size but the 700 springs are a progressive rated at 67-120# stock is 64-100#.
In my trail testing the spacers where a terrible dissapointment. The heavy straight 101# springs are good if you carry loads on the front. But my set up is the 700 springs.
