hpd 500 air box mod

has any one out there tried this mod is there an improvement and is it worth the money

will let you know in about ten days ordered mine fri the fifth so hopefully it will be in soon
also I called to ask about the jets it comes with if they would work with my setup and he told me that it would be close, I guess Ill find out what that means real soon.
Have you tried running your 500 without the airbox lid it leans my out so bad it barely runs so that should speak for its self thats theres room for impronment

Yeah, that leans them way out. Some of that may have to do with the CV carb not getting enough intake velocity when you remove the lid too.

I'd like to try jetting up to like a .180 and removing the lid to see how fast it is!
My Magnum 325 was even worse than the 500 without its' lid.

hey sorry it took so long but you will love the air box carb mod it took me a while and a larger pilot jet but man can you feel the difference the kit came with a .170 main jet and modified tube(atomizer) wow I thought I would really notice only two horse but I was shocked. it really breaths (and drinks)!!!

no no needle mod just slide gets bigger holes drilled in it.
