I've had my SP500 in the snow since I bought it in December. I have only noticed belt slippage twice when driving fast in fresh powder. The vent for the clutch can allow powder snow to get inside causing the belt to slip. I got it out of the powder, and the slipping stopped after a few seconds. I am working on rerouting the ventilation tube inlet to prevent flying snow from getting sucked in. About getting stuck, the factory rubber has NO traction in the snow, and was so soft, would not hold ice screws in. Thus I pulled a few out, and caused a few leaks. I've upgraded to tires with deeper tread. The bi-claw and tri-claw combination should prevent me from ever getting stuck again.

I know I do not know what they are talking about too.Once a bike hight-centers it's over you are stuck that is just a law of physic which dose not care what bike you ride.A hight ground clearance helps because it delays the hight-center so you go further before getting stuck.

I was thinking of using a sponge foam dryer sheet
coated with air filter oil. That stuff is so
sticky I think it will keep water out too. But
I'm kind of lazy about it because I've never
had mine slip no matter how deep I went. If you
have to go through water over your knees then
you should GO AROUND IT! I think this would apply
to any ATV, if I want a submarine I'll save up and get one!
