weight

It doesn't appear that the weight if a Polaris seems to affect their Performance. The rest of us should be lucky that they weigh soo much. How fast do you think a 500 HO would be if it only weighed 600 lbs. It would leave the Prarie and all the others in the dust. I am glad they weight "too much."

I'm usually one of the first to defend Polaris' when someone bashes their reliability. I had mine for three years without a single problem.
But, when weight is an issue, you can't help but razz them a little. They make a 425cc quad that outweighs all the other 650 cc class machines (except Bombardier) by 50 pounds. They really need to work on the weights of their quads.

Of course Polaris makes heavy quads. That is a fact. Polaris has historically put ride quality above weight. Speaking from my experience though, ( I have owned Honda's, Yammies, and even a couple of Suzy's) the extra weight is not a big deal to myself personally b/c I am usually a lot less tired and sore now that I am on a Polaris than before on the other brands.

It's cool, QuadF'er.
I agree, they do weigh more than most quads, but some of your heaviest luxury sedans weigh 5,000 to 6,000 lbs. Weight can add to a more solid feel and ride, with less noise and vibration. No one ever told Rolls Royce or Bentley they are the worst cars on the planet because they weigh more than the rest. I also think Polaris and Bomb and the higher line of plush quads and not race machines like Cannondales or what Yamaha puts out.
Hausdog, can I use your salary to pay my IRS bill?
AlaskaYFM, who is contradicting themselve?
Brent87, Mo Money, different problems. The dumb $hit goes away but you get new things cropping up. Cool thing is, if say a Scrambler 500 breaks, just shove it off a cliff.
