Hey all...I just got back from the Mx race at Red Bud in Buchanan, Mi. I raced in the Open C class. I was the ONLY polaris quad there besides a Scrambler 50 racing in the kids class. I finished 8th out of 24 in my first race...but I didn't finish the second one. It was the sloppiest mess that I have ever ridden in!! I made one lap in the final race...I sucked in too much water. I run an aluminum, open top air box and a K&N filter. After the DNF, I finished 17th overall! Not too shabby!! You couldn't imagine what it is like to pull up at the line at a National race, and have everyone starring at you because you are on a Polaris. It really makes them look when you pass them!!!

I wonder why you were the ONLY one on a Polaris? That should tell you something.I was at Red Bud also. Your right, I could't believe they still raced it was like a GNCC race instead.

GreatCanadian....I finished 17th OVERALL!!!!! They took the first and second race finishes and averaged them to get you overall placement. I said I didn't finish the second race....what don't you understand about that?

Nice job Daransport! Are you using the water repellent outerwear? Since I switched to one, water isn't a problem. HPD now is selling an aluminum airbox with a cover.

I don't use an outerwear, and I also use an air box of my design....the only thing bad on it, is the ram air on the side lets water flow in quite well. My quad usually doesn't see water holes so water isn't really an issue.
