Anyone ever repack a muffler,just got my sport back from the shop and he said that a new muffler would help,since the engine needs some back pressure.My muffler is only 3 months old,is it normal for them to blow out that quick?It is an RCR muffler I got with the stage one kit.I do not wanna spend another 70$ for a tube and fiberglass.

 

I would talk to Rick at ritter cycle and see what he says. If you want to repack it yourself, I have seen kits for less than $10 on hpd's website

RCR's silencer should be repackable..mine just has three regular bolts you undo and slid the tube off, and repack

You can usually buy the packing material for $5 or $6 at any motorcycle dealer or shop that works on quads or dirt bikes. The packing material can get clogged with oil residue over time and you need to re-pack it periodically.
