Primary Springs VS RPMs
#1
Does anyone know where I might aquire or find some kind of chart that states the engagement rpm for HPD's primary springs? I know that they have a chart on thier web site, but I don't see where they state the engagement rpm for the different springs(maybe I don't know how to read the chart either!) I do have a tach on my 200 scram 400 and I do know where a few of their primary springs emgage. It would help me eliminate most isprings that I wouldn't want to use for my riding style if I had this info.

Wish I could. Leaving to go offshore tomorrow for a week or so. Wouldn't you know it, I just got the new piston and rings in along with the port job. Just my luck though! Thanks for the offer though. Hope I'll be in next time. By the way, every other Sunday, we got quad drags over in Carencro La. It's set up pretty nice over there. Between myself and my buddy who's also got a 2000 scram 400 4X4, those guys down there can't believe their eyes when you pull up with what looks like a plain jane quad and then end up beating them. You ought to see the look AFTER on their face when they come back to the pits and kinda walk around the bikes looking for nitros or something. They think we got something illeagal on them or something!

I was using Duro Excavator rear tires(my buddy has the motocross tires on his rear) and I have Titan XT 489's on the front(my buddy has Maxis on his front). It's 100 yd drag and I was averaging around 61-62 mph and he was averaging 62-63. That was before I got mine ported though. Can't wait to see what it will do now. I had better reaction times than my frienf off the line otherwise he would have had better times himself and a better top speed. Most of the piped shees they had out there were running dirt drg tires with extended swing arms and such. You don't know how good it feels to beat a shee or 400ex after they seem to be giving you that condisending look at the line. Not tht their quads aren't fast, but every time they shift, they lose a bike length at the least. Not to mention that they seem to spin their tires off the line way to much. We just throw ours in 4 wheel drive, pull in the brake and get the revs up and wait on the yellow lights to go off. It's a blast!
Almost forgot something else I thought was pretty funny. You should see these fools try to stop their bikes st the end of the race using those sand ties on the front of their bike. I can't tell you how many went of into the woods and couldn't stop. two of them actully flipped over.
