Recently replaced the shifter linkage rod for the high gear lever.Now after a day of riding the reverse light on the headlight pod illuminates no matter what gear I'm in except for when I'm in neutral. The linkage needs to be fine tuned a little more due to difficulty getting it into gear at times, but it's nothing major. Any clue on what the light problem might be?

 

The light problem is your linkage. When you get your linkage adjusted right, your reverse and/or neutral light will work right as well.
