Robin Manufacturing is not Subaru. It is a cooperative effort between Fuji Heavy Industries (Subaru) and Polaris. Robin Manufacturing makes it's engines in the good ol' USA out of parts made by Fuji Heavy Industries. Kind of like how Honda assembles it's quads in the USA out of Japanese parts and calls them "American Made".

Your almost right. Robin is a division of Fuji Heavy Industries Ltd. Based in Tokyo. Robin Manufacturing of America, located in Wisconsin, where the Polaris engines are built, get about 60% of the engine parts from Japan. Our company is a supplier to Robin. Some stuff they have no say in where they buy it from, it comes from Japan, no questions asked. Alot of companies are like that, Kubota is the same way.
