Hi guys ! I would love to hear your opinion on one thing I am about to do !
I'm thinking of getting into a race, kind of "baja", with about 200 miles. Maybe some of you have heard of it, it's called "Portalegre 500". It is the most difficult race in Portugal and one of the most famous in Europe, specially because of the terrain which is very hard - lots of mud and some water.
I have never raced a quad, but I have some experience racing 4x4's.
I'm not thinking in the classification at all. It's just for the experience.
My question is : Do you think my 99 Sport 400 will handle it ? What mods do you think I really need to do ? Does any of you ever raced this machine ?

HI JNB, I am Portugese as well and I am more than willing to make the "Portalegre 500" with you in my extreme Warrior y2k. I would like to see the opinions of your POLARIS fellows about racing with your ATV in a 311 miles competition.
