Did anybody hear if there will be any other new quads for Polaris's 2003 line-up besides the Predator? Just wondering. A new, improved, lighter Scrambler 4x4 would be nice.

OffRder15,

I've heard rumors, but that's all I've heard. My belief is that they'll come out with a Magnum 700 for people who don't want all the expense of a IRS machine. That, or they'll introduce a Sportsman 325. That machine would be perfect for people with boats, they could tow the machine to the lake with it (very slowly) and once there they could use it for as a boat anchor. Of course they could come out with a Scrambler 325 in 4x4 and 2x4, thus replacing the Trailblazer and getting away from those "nasty" two strokes.

a Sportsman 325 just makes no sence! to underpowered!
a Magnum 700? maybe a good idea.
a smoooooooth idleing 700 would be nice!

where in the hell is the 2003 Polaris stuff? all the other Mfgs have their '03 stuff published! why is Polaris waiting so long?

I would like the idea of a Magnum 700, but Polaris probly wants to keep their biggest ATV engine in their flagship quad.

Polaris is having their dealer meetings in a couple of weeks to show, train and get them ready for all your questions. I would guess by August 1st you will have more information on the 2003's than you can handle.

My guess is why they are late, all the mags are busy with all the other brands 03's and in August, Polaris will have the pages to themselves.

mtpockets,

You seemed to have missed my sarcasm. I meant that the 325 would only be good AS a boat anchor. I'd be pretty much useless anywhere else.

Hey remember that magnificent "335 Sportsman"? Wow, what a great idea! A totally underpowered motor in a completely over weight chasis. Who'd have thunk of that but Polaris.

Seriously though, look for them to get rid of the rest of the two strokes and replace them with their wimpy four strokes.

Polaris in the past has been nothing but predictable. Now that they've thrown their hat into the high performance market, perhaps we'll see something a little different. Like maybe they will (hint, hint) START LISTENING TO THEIR CUSTOMERS(hint hint), instead of listening to pencil pushing lawyers who tell them to build underpowered / over weight machines.
