Good ole Dickie Overalls in a size larger than I usually wear. In Texas getting wet is great and staying that way even better. Soooooooo Hot here. I also wear my Red Wing Steel toes forriding. Most people here just jeans and a long sleeve shirt. Borrow some pants and see how you like them and go from there. Never did like theboots.

I WILL NOT ride without my boots. They rank right up there with a helmet. Save your nickels and get a good pair though. I bought Alpinestars and am glad of it. They are practically the only boots with a cusioned liner up the calf.

The loose fitting pants are my favorite. They actually breathe and do dry out much quicker than jeans.

Even on slow leisurely trail rides I may wear shorts, t-shirt and no helmet, but my AS boots are on. Gearshifts, brake levers, and footpegs are tough on regular footwear and will eventually eat the bottoms up.

Not to throw a wrench in the subject. I ride with shorts and no shirt or t-shirt. I have for years. I do have a few battle scars. When it is cooler I ride with Levis and shirt. Riding gear would be nice but I don’t want to spend the time and money to wear. I would like some boots those would be the first things I would buy. I don’t ride to crazy. I forgot to mention I do ride with a helmet thanks to my wife. And I have a pair of Answer gloves that are nice to wear.

just to toss my 2 cents in...i dont know where you guys ride, but where i do there is alot of water and for those of you that have scramblers know how much protection they give you from flying mud and water. well, i wear a complete rain coat and pants with a pair of rubber duck boots. even with this set up, i still get wet. I would love to have a set of snazzy ridding gear but it would be ruined in just a couple of rides. the muc in my area stains and doesnt wash out. Sure its hot in the summer but im ususally splashing through enough water to keep me cool. BTW have any of you scrambler owners ever modded your fenders to give more protection from mud and such??
