Power, power, power!!! Another idea, Dennis over on Bad Boyz sells a nifty torque plate. It stablilizes the motor, keeping the clutches aligned, and might also help cancel some of the vibrations...but those are sometime good too hehe.

Ken, Mike at HPD didnt really have too many ideas on the carb. Rick Ritter is thinking the same as me, that the fuel is foaming in the float bowl causing the problem. It does seem to have a peculiar engine harmonics at about 4500rpms. that is about where it is at. I am going to have to fabricate something for the carb to stabilize it. By the way,Dennis is stealing the old snowmobile trick on the torque straps. I thought about that already. Jay miller's bike is actually rubbing the left side it is torqing so hard. Maybe that alcohol has something to do with it huh?????ha ha. I went to the violet primary spring with the s-55 weights. It engages real high and really comes out hard. The blue primary would be good for trail riding with the 58's, but I mostly use this bike for all out acceleration, so the violet works real good for me. Talk at you later, Bubba

your fuel is foaming you need to change your motor mounts back. i had the same problem. also make sure the black spacer under your carb is taken out.

Bubba....your right on the clutch cover screw grinding into the oil eliminator plate, which is fixed now by using a torque plate. A buddy is turning me down some hard plastic motor mounts on his lathe. I was thinking about alum motor mounts but heard that guys were cracking frames with them. For now the torque plate is working great and is a very simple design. I'll e-mail you what it looks like installed.

Was discussing this with Sport in chat the other nite. He had the same problem. The fact that it stops when you put your hand on the carb means its dampening a harmonic. Sport put a shorter filter on his bike and it stopped. Might try a shorter open filter...let us know if this cures what ails ya too....
