I am in the market for a sport quad, but I would never put a deposit on anything before I see it or drive-ride it.

I wish, unfortunatley I am in no position to purchase a new 'wheeler. I am how ever going to keep a close eye on this machine. I am very excited about it as most of the atv world is. (Just most are too scared to admit it)Polaris has a very nice machine on their hands, I cant wait to ride one.

As for all those who say it is still too heavy, go weigh your 400EX with 6ply razrs on all 4 corners and your works triple rate shocks, and you will see that there is only a difference of 2 or 3 pounds. And Raptor owners, I think it would actually be lighter than your ride, but I am not sure.

I would never put a deposit on a quad that I have never seen or ridden. 2nd of all look in the past at other quads the first year models are always in need of improvement. From the 1987 Lt500 to the 2001 Raptor. If I ever bought one I would wait for the second or thrid year model. It is just the facts.

I was interested in the Predator until I saw the weight and lack of reverse. I'm not convinced that a 400EX would weigh the same with 6ply Razor tires and after market shocks. Sure it would be heavier than stock but 60lbs heavier?

I'm looking forward to the shootouts and to se how it compares to the Cannondale.

Where did you get 60lbs, thats how rumors are started. 400 ex 375lbs, Predator 415lbs, that comes to 40 lbs.

well, i am an owner of a yamaha, and i hope the predator is everything and more that it is being said to be. i have nothing against any quad maker, and only hope that if a new quad stands above any other make, of equil value, then its new compition!!! if any company put out a quad that is cheaper in cost over another quad, and it out performs it, that even better!!! that only means that other company's will have to work harder, and keep costs lower, to compete.
if the predator is all it is being cracked up to be, good for polaris for setting a new standard!!!
