Unfortunatly my son totaled out my 2 month old 700. Good news, he is oky with only a broken femur and sum daddy cuts and brusies!
Since the 03's are out, would ya all buy an 03,(with the few changes polaris made on them) or would you just by a left over 02 and save a few coins?
I haven't heard what has all been changed on the 03's yet, but I guess it isn't much! A few less grease zerks. And a couple camo colors, sure won't justify a price hike!

Personal preference. I totaled my OD Green 2001 Sportsman and purchased a 2002 because there were no 2001s left at the time. Very little changes from year to year so I would save the coins and get the 2002 IF you found the color you wanted. Buy exactly what you want considering you will not save over a few hundred buck max. I was lucky and they had a Silver edition with thesame rawhide tires that are on the 700. GREAT TIRES!!!!!!!

I went to an '03' there where several upgrades. the upgrades are in the second production run of the '02' also but when that is I don't know.(around the time that the green 700's came out)

1. new 20 amp fan breaker
2. water pump fix
3. new heavy duty intake manifold
4. a plastic hillard basket to help illiminate the "clunk",and some changes to the flywheel.
