what is the meaning of your question?

-MT

Just wanting to see how hard they are to find.
How they are standing up to the previous year models (First year for the 600 but same specs as 700).
How are the “Lubed-for-Life” Bushings are working out.
If they are worth the extra 500 for a few more cc.
You know, just general info.

that's cool!
i enjoy not having to lube all those damn fittings on the '03!
the '02 is a pain. although removing the rear tires does make it easier to get at all of them.

for my needs, i wanna do an oil change once a year and juice a FEW fittings once in awhile and that's it! and that's why i like the '03 line up so much.

so far no coolant leak on the '03

out for now,

Have an '03 mossy oak 700 on order. Dealer (Steiger Motors La Crosse, WI) said it should be in by this weekend but the supplier keep jerkin' their junk on when they are gonna get the shipment. So far they've pushed it back 2 weeks already.

Pumped about the new bushings...sure you may have to replace them sooner, but the money I'll save from the constant greasings will more than compensate.

Anyone know if the camo ones have the red suspension components? Wouldn't that defeat the purpose of camo, at least a little anyway?

MT,
Congratulations on the new 2003 Sportsman 700!!!

I know exactly what you mean about all the fittings. My ’96 seems like it has 3 dozen!!! When they sell these things (02 and older Sportsmans) they should throw in a grease gun, a case of grease, a floor jack and creeper instead of a helmet or a tank bag!!

I totally agree. I guess I got use to the old ’86 4x4 Honda I had. All you had to do was get on it and ride. But I wouldn’t trade the soft ride of my Sportsman or the TRUE 4x4 for anything else except for a newer Sportsman.

P.S. – Let me know how the 600 performs vs. the 700. I heard there’s not a lot of difference in power. It would be nice to hear from someone with first hand experience.

King4X4,
Damn that's a cheap price!
i don't understand the guys buying '03 SP500's these days when they can get 600 for less than $300 more!
my dealer said my blue 600 will be in next month and i'm thrilled!
can't wait!

Here in south-central Wisconsin I’m waiting for my dealer to take delivery of a Mossy Oak 700, ’03 of course. My last two SPs have been RSE models. IF I trade up (still sitting on the fence and watching the forums for more 700 woes) I want to compare the looks of the Mossy Oak 700 to the “camo green” 700. My dealer received a green one last week, still in the crate. He says the MO one should show up any day but he’s been expecting it since the first of the month. That 0-0-0 deal Polaris is offering till the end of the year sure is making the idea of trading up more attractive. Gives me time to sell my current machine, if I do it.

Red suspension looks kind’a sharp on some machines but it sure would look stupid on a camo unit. The MOs will have black wheels instead of chrome too, so don’t expect red springs and A-arms.
