asdfasd---The drain hole screw is a large screw on the bottom left
side of the trans that tightens up against the frame while the other
end fits into the trans case. All the dip sticks that I've seen are
yellow and are a pull out type with rubber O rings for seals. It
should be on the front lower right side.

asdfasdfasdfqwer,

No dipstick on your '99 500. take off the cover on the right side by the brake lever and you will see the fill plug. the plug sits horizontal and may be covered with mud or other debris. just be sure to keep the area clean so you don't drop crud down into it. it's a pretty good size plug, too. the drain is underneath and you should have access through the skid plate hole.

keep the oil changed and it should last you a long time.

The SWITCHES that it is talking about is where you actually plug in the wires. I think there is 4 screws that hold them in. They are black and all you have to do is take them off.

SCR500 actually has a complete transmission from a 01 Scrambler 500 4x4 for sale. He's asking a very fair price, but I'm going to pass. I simply don't need the whole trans. If anyone needs a complete trans for a 98+ Scrambler 4x4, I'd recommend that you check with SCR500. As I said, it seems like a very good deal.

asfasd -
I haven't had any time to take pics of my cracked case yet. I can't get a decent shot until it's out, and I probably won't have time to get it out for a couple weeks. Stay tuned...

locomofo -
Send the scanned Trans pages at your convenience. No hurry on my end, and I do appreciate it!!!
