Just was reading the article

Looks like a dog..My TB have better travel front and back then that 'sport' quad

509IBs? Damn..thats heavy..very heavy for a sport

You know that the magizines are gonna glance right over the high-tech Pred and look at this bike like it is the end all and be all of quads..

in my mind, it doesnt even qualify as a sport quad, its a automatic belt trans. its a driveshaft, not chain.

Sounds more like a 2x4 Scrambler than a true sport quad. Probably not too good for jumping but I would think it would be fast.

Honda did the same thing when they introduced the 250ex. It uses the shaft drive from the Recon and it has been a big success for them. Kawasaki is going directly against the Sport/Scrambler/Trailblazer crowd with the full sized automatic sport quad, but with a much improved chassis. The biggest complaint about the Gen IV is the strut suspension. The a-arms are a huge improvement. They will sell the heck out of them at $6499. Polaris may need to rethink the Trailblazer and improve the chassis.

So no Polaris can qualify as a sport quad?? (belt drive) Ya,its big,but at least it does offer more sport type attributes: dual a arms front, separate front and rear brakes, handlebar mounted gear select,(no taking hands off to shift) I'm no big fan of it either, but looks like it might fill the niche for people that want that full sport look and handling without shifting. Time will tell if it was a successful gamble or not.
