Saw Darrel Rath racing the predator at a local track yestarday. He was in pro am 4 stroke. He also raced the WI Championship race and took 1st in both. The thing was stock besides tires, exhaust and shocks. That thing hauls some serious but. He got the hole shot everytime!

What kind of tires did he change to. I'm suprised he took off the Razors and put on something else. Also, did he have the Walker Evens shocks?

HE was running Maxxis Razor MX tires. The shocks were PEP. And he was running a White Bros Exhaust. It was impressive to see it blow past CRF450 powered quads in the holeshot. This thing hauls some serious butt. One thing i thought i should note for people who havent seen one ine person is that the thing is much smalller in person than the pics in the mags make it out to be. It had a lower seet height than my buddies Z400.(the stock one thay had with for display) I figured the weight of this thing would be a downfall but Rath said you wouldnt think by riding it that it weighed over 400lbs. That was pretty obvious on the track. WOW is all i can say. He said the motor runs like a full mod yz426.

I was told the power would be the same as the show quad I rode. You never know though, everything is subject to change....remember the name that was supposed to be from Xtremely reliable sources. I do like the Predator better..hehe.

Yah stock, sure....sounds like an awesome quad though, I would like the chance to see one someday and maybe ride against one. I bet the production version will be a little tamer than the show quad but it will still beat the Raptor. Hopefully Polaris did a good job on this quad.

By the low seat hight i was talking about the stocker they had for display. The ones they had there are suppose to be identical to the production models. While i was sitting at the trailer one of the guys in Rath's crew said the CC limit for 2003 GNC series is possibly getting bumped to 500cc's. Lets just say if i was still racing like i use to I would take the predator over a cannondale or anything else. I know some of you guys are like what ever ill believe it when i see it, well i was the same way. After seeing this i sing a farlydifferenttoon. And i have a video tape of the race to prove it.
