A New Controversy
#32
Thanks for the advise on the snowplow spacers, I'll check into it.
Little advise for everyone on adjusting the rear shocks I forgot to mention. It took me, my brother and my roommate (all big guys) plus a 3 foot cheater bar to adjust them. The little tool they give you to adjust them just doesn't cut the mustard. We lifted the wheels off the ground to get the pressure of the springs and it still took a 3 foot pipe on the end of the tool to do it. It also chewed the tool up. I was wishing that I had a spring compressor. That is the way to go if you are going to do it - hoping to save you a little time. The next option we were going to try was two rachting tie down straps to compress the spring, but then muscle power overcame it.
I'll post after finding out about the snowplow spacers. Also, haven't given up on different springs, but that would be the more expensive option.
