I don't think that the Expedition has has many grease fittings as a Sportsman. The Expedition still has it's fair share of them. As far as mud riding, I don't know. A lot has to do with rider and type of mud or obstacle.

I've had a Xpedition for 4 months, and have had no problems to report. I have not serviced it yet as the dealer will perform the 1st one free of charge. Very smooth ride for trail riding and goes anywhere with true 4 wheel drive.

I dont know for sure why, but my expedition has been an oil sucker. Maybe because its still kind of new even though i am past the break in period and miles. I do dive my expedition kind of hard I think. I dont mean abuse. It does have quite a few
grease fittings. I dont know how many the sp500 has. Just check your fluid levels often. I expect that my atv will hold oil better and better as time goes on. I also have not been stuck yet, Im suprised because im still only using the stock tires which are ok but not super mud tires by any stretch of the imagination! I also have been through pretty deep water. Up to the top of the storage racks at least. It has gone through places where I see atv tracks go around some mud holes. I drove straight through the middle of them. I was suprised also, that I got it to go 57 mph so far. Maybe faster in the future? I think the polaris 400 on up atv's are real good machines power wise and ability. My cousin likes his little polaris 250 though. It is so light, he can rock it over something when he is stuck, like on a log. I just drive right over them. Polaris protects there engine with a belly plate from front to back under the machine.
