GILBERT OHV PARK IN MINNESOTA?

Spark arrestors and all factory safety equipment must be on,and they do sound checks,99 dB. Helmets are also a requirement, everything is checked at the gate before you get in. Sounds like a nice place to ride, but lots of regulations. I'm going to check on how tight they enforce all ATV laws,I'm not going to drive over 4 hours to be turned away because my 12 yr. old son rides a 300ex (better than some adults). You should be able to contact your local DNR and get all the facts on regs for Gilbert. Let us know what you find out, I was thinking of sometime in the next couple of weeks if my son can ride.

what really turned me off to the new park is the fact that they have more laws that the state. How I can be leagel outside the gate and then not be allowed to ride in the park is crazy, its in the state of mn, so mn laws should pertain. this isnt a private park where the owner can do what he wants, its public.

For those of you who are asking if helmets are required they are not. Their are no special laws pertaining to the park, they are going with what the state law requires. If you guys have any more questions let me know. I live about 5 miles from the park and I have been out there alot, helping get it ready and building ATV trails

MinnesotaRipper, To answer your questions there is mud in the park, there is two mud holes, one is for the trucks and one for the ATV's. The park does not close for hunting, there is no hunting in the park. If you have any more questions, my e-mail is jhrussell@mchsi.com or call me at 218-744-5525.
