Congrats man. I hope you like it. You say it's a '03? Is it the Vapor/Black? My dealer has a few of them, but no blue or camo green ones yet.

King4X4,
CONGRATS on your new 700! i too was wondering what color you bought???

i too gave-up waiting for the almighty 600 and bought an '03 700!
Mossy-Oak. production date 9/02. new style water pump!

i went for a long ride today, first ride with the new machine, and i think Polaris HAS finally worked-out the bugs on these 700's. the machine is flawless! just the way i EXPECT my Polaris's to be!

good luck with yours!

BTW, $6299 is a TERRIFIC price! can't touch that price around these parts.
Good Job!

i should try to stay an optimist.
but i'm 2 for 2 having leakers. i truely believe the new bracket is the correct fix. my dealer tells me it distributes more evenly the pressure on the water pump, thus eliminating the possibility of a leak.
the best way for me to describe the new bracket is that it's thick, flat and wider than the old one. the old style has a somewhat pointed edge.
anyways, i took "Mossy" for a rough long ride and there is no signs of any leakage.
just rub your hand on the bottom of the water pump and you'll know.
your friend,

I too bought one at Heinen and Masson for that same price, you must have bought the Black one I think they wanted more money for the oter colors. I didnt like the green or the blue, the yellow would have been alright but I think I would get tired of it. Black sure shows scratches easy but once you get past the first few it really doesnt matter. I wasnt able to ride mine this weekend because I was out of town but I have 80 miles on it so far and I love the machine. I will be keeping an eye on the water pump. Did the dealer say how they would handle the pump problem? I wonder if they will do the work or will they just give you the cover and have you do it yourself? Or will they do nothing?
