I just had to add some antifreeze to my sportsman after about 35 miles, in the manual it says that during the break-in period the amount in the system can fluctuate due to trapped air that needs to be purged. Will this be the end of this or can i expect to keep adding coolant, hopefully its not my water pump leaking. also is it alright if i dont use polaris antifreeze, it seems the local dealers dont have any.

Probably is leaking. Easy to find though. Look under black cover on right side of the engine on the frame. To fix, just loosen the floorboard for convience ,then 4 or 5 bolts holding the cover on. Clean surface and apply silicone gasket sealer on surface lightly and assemble. I always let the gasket sealer cure over night. Has always worked!!! Of course your dealer should put a new gasket on for free. I bet it leaks too! Fill up radiator under front plastic.Hope this helps. Mine never leaked again.

silicone worked for me temporarily, then it worked its way through. Dealer sanded down the warped water pump cover, now it seems good.

The trapped air part is true.
Check upper radiator hose where it passes too close to a vertical frame rail, it will wear through and leak.
