After 3weeks of waiting i finally got my HPD pipe and silencer.WOW what a difference.Tons more power and torque.I can now beat my neighbors 400ex(not by much though). Before I did the pipe and silencer he would kill me everytime. He was impressed how much different it made it.The only mistake was I went with the cheaper silencer and man is it loud. But HPD said the silencer that i got will build up more power than the aluminum forrestry approved one.anyway I really like the power increase.HMMM WHATS NEXT???

Sounds like the honda guy has an EGO problem.

2manytoys-- See just a little shove in the right direction
makes a big difference. Could try carb boring or cylinder
boring or the reed conversion!

I told you it made a worl of difference. BEWARE. I was drag racing mine most the day saterday (and I did beat a 400 ex, he was totally impressed, no one could believe it, i ran 68 mph) anyway, sunday I went on a ride down the highway with a few my buddies, they have raptors, i had to have her wide open to keep up eith their "cruising" speed. I burned up the piston. I was doing everthing right, 40:1, 108 octain, proper jeting, becareful. Everone told me once you mess with the motor on a TB, you keep burning pistons. Ritter even told me that (especially with my compression, 210) I have talked to guys locally who have burned theirs up several times. Want mine? one thousand four hundred and its yours.

I really hate to post this one, but Bartlett is right. A completley modded TB will barely outrun a stock Scrambler, and they wont come too close to a stock 400ex. There was something going on there if this was the case. My wife's 01 Scrambler has the trail pipe, silencer, reeds, and cool head, and it wont quite hang with a really good running stock 400ex. I am very glad that the TB is hauling butt for you!!! Start shedding weight and keep improving.Bubba

Should be a good race between this TB and a Z! A Z won't wax the floor with a 400ex but it will beat it everytime.

Get any video or pics of your TB? I would like to hear how it sounds.

2manytoys-- it looks like you already have some of the pieces
that go to a reed conversion kit. But you would have too send
the head in to have it altered. The kit for a stock bike is pricey,
about $1,400.00 dollars. At 39 plus HP at the crank you can see
if you put your quad on a diet the power to weight ratio will be
greatly improved. I can see it beating larger displacement quads
in a short drag of 100 yards.
