It might run like a slug, bug that thing can take a pounding. the only thing that has happened to it is the brake handle fell off and the rack broke in half, but this is because of 2 serious rollovers. it runs like new. i love it. tought as a rock. see yall!!!

My wife loves hers as well. Surprisingly enough she rolled it last weekend. I couldn't believe it because I thought she was Suzy Safety when riding. After coming back from the ride however she said there were a couple hills she couldn't make it up and would like to have more power. I thought to myself, "Who is this person and what did she do with my wife? I like it!"

With all that said, I have a question:
What inexpensive type mods can I do on an '01 325 Trail Boss that will give the quad a noticeable boost? I don't want to bore out the motor or anything too drastic but would like to jump up the performance a bit. I suggested getting an ’03 Trail Blazer 400 but she loves her Trail Boss. It is a great quad, built to last, lasts for sure. It hasn’t given us any problems what-so-ever.

Thanks to any/all who offer up suggestions on any performance upgrades.

Start off with a pipe and clutch kit along with a high flow filter. THat will set you bach about 3 bills and would be a big improvement.

Slap in a K&N air filter and get an RCR stage 1 kit. Thats what I did to mine and it makes a noticable difference in preformance.

I noticed a difference when I modified my Tboss but it is still not fast enough for me. The changes I made seemed to help out on the bottom end of the power. Top speed did increase a little but I noticed it more on the low end. Right now I am debating on whether to get the bore kit or just sell it and get a sport quad. If I do the things I want to do it will run me about a grand, but if I sell it or trade it in then I will be starting from scratch. I'm just kind of confused right now.

I will say one thing, mine has takin a few roll overs and not screwed anything up, well the handle bars bit the big one, that can be expected. I wish now I would of bought a blaster, mojave or a warrior.

The bottom end had the greatest increase and on the top I gaine about 4 to 5mph. The kit is worth the money, but my wife will be taking over this machine, I a buying myself a Z 400 real soon.
