Best Performance Tires for Scrambler 400?
#1
I'd like to replace the tires on my 99 Scrambler 400 and get something a little smaller to decrease weight, and increase speed and handling. What would you guys recommend? Most of my riding is done in fields and rail road beds. I hardly ever ride in deep mud so I don't need a very big tread. I would appreciate any input.

I used the lightest, flatest rear w/ Holeshots pattern, smallest, stiffest side wall, most angled lung fronts for 4wd that I could find & that tire was the Kenda Dominator. It is the best at all of these criteria than any other. I've used it for a year now & love them. There are comprimises though like not going thru the deepest mud & snow as well, but you still can, but just not as well as before. If you add spacers after adding these short tires your handleing will improve greatly. this will lower the quad about 1.25" & save 2 lbs.

check out the holeshot XCT's, they come in 23x7x10 fronts and 22x11x9-10. a friend has them on his 97 sport 400, they dramaticaly improve handling and hook up awsome. they look pretty sweet to on ITP polished rims. good luck
