2002 SP700 vs 2003 SP700
#2
speaking from EXPERIENCE, here it goes:
'03 700 models produced BEFORE 9/02 have the '02 style water pump brackets and they are leakers- i know- i own one!
'03 700's produced ON or AFTER 9/02 have the new style pump brackets and they DON'T leak- i know- i also own one!
i have two 700's ('02 and '03) waiting to be repaired. the kits are not in stock yet. i'm quite certain the kits will do the trick.
other than the water pump issue, my 700's have been bullet proof and they are terrific ATV's.
hope this has helped,

oh yea, thought of one more thing.
check to be sure the two 1/2" bolts that hold the shifter in place are tight. if they are not, the shift lever will flop left to right, towards or away from the gas tank.
$hitty dealer set-up if you ask me!
