Know the price of the Polaris brand oil before you buy any other brand, including Mobil 1. Around here Mobil 1 is more expensive than the Polaris brand. I only use Polaris brand fluids, because even if it does cost a little more you use so little of it a couple times a year that I don't see where it is worth taking a chance using something else no matter how good Mobil 1 is.

$4.60 Canadian? That's pretty cheap for full synthetic.

A long story made short, oil is oil if you replace it often. Syn. or not it dosen,t really matter. Some lubricants can stand greater heat but like I said, change it often and even cooking oil can stand the abuses. Spend your money on filters and change your oil more often as opposed to better oil. OIL IS OIL!!!!

im sorry spacollie i cant agree with that one... oil is a technical issue heat ranges grades performances breakdown of oils when i read up on it i deciced to let the shell oil company compare the specs and make a recommendation specs are important more in some brands of machines then others and polaris is one of the ones you have to watch ... but i do agree on your thought about oil filters a good brand is important keep on riding
