Best tires??
#1
I'm looking for some new tires for my 96 Express 300... One of the mechanics at my dealer ship says that he has Dirt Devils on his machine.. I don't really know anything about them but they are 4 ply, durability is really a factor with my riding. I have been thinking about super swampers but I would like a second opinion.. thanks

I have Super Swamper Vampires on a 97 KQ 4x4,and GoodYear Mudrunners on a 99 Sportsman 500cc 4x4 and also on a 00 Xplorer 400cc 4x4.The mudding ability of these two tires are awesume.They are excellant in snow to.Some claim the Mudrunners ride better on hardpack.Either tire,you wont be disappointed,good luck,====BILL

Well;
Since you asked so nicely for another opinion I will offer mine.
I once owned a 300 express and I think that the exta weight that the Vampires would have would be too much, and since it is a 2wd machine I assume that you don't spend as much time in the mud as you do on the trails I think that these would be more tire than you need. I would look at something with a little less tractor style tread that would be good for the mud and still give you a smooth ride for the trails.

Do you want a cheap but excellent way out. Go to fleet farm and get the Stryker tires. I put them on my scrambler. I do go mudding and the go through dang near anything. I also do lots of major jumping an the hold up great.

I'd try the bearclaws too if I still had my 300. I just put a rear set of bearclaws on my Scrambler. They are awesome...and they are only 22 inchers! Always clean and really bite down. Light too. The price is good also...compared to the mudrunners I just put on my Xplorer400.
