I replaced my rawhides for mudrunners because I do alot of bogging. The rawhides are fantastic tires if you do alot of trail riding. If you know someone with a newer sportsman maybe they would part with theirs. Check out the polaris shop for deals if anyone replaced em when they bought their bike. The mudrunners are great for mud but rougher on the trail. Who woulda thought. The sidehill traction seems pretty good with both. I hit swamps a bit and I still cant make it through the tough stretches even with the taller mudrunners. But they are noticably better. I make it twice as far and over obstacles that were impossible before.

The Mudrunners seem to be made of a harder rubber compound, and around here anyway, will last more miles before they go bald. The Rawhides seem to hold just a little bit better on greasy sidehills, but the Mudrunners seem to have a little more 'pull'. A few people have said that the Rawhides need better sidewall protection from sharp rocks. We don't have rocks around here, but from what I can see from sticks & stuff, they are about equal in overall puncture resistance through the tread.

I recently replaced my POS stock tires on my P650 with the rawhide grips...It has made a huge difference. I was considering both the mudrunners and rawhides grips but settled with the rawhides grips because I did'nt want to loose any power and wanted to keep closer to stock tire sizes. There is no power loss and the have a great aggressive tread.... the perfect balance in my opinion. great all around tire. Ok enough said from the kawi guy..
