Default Question About Expedition

I'm looking at buying a 2000 Expedition with 31 hours. Bike looks fairly new. Owner is asking $3500. Anybody, know if that's a fair price? Also, I'm planning on using the bike for work pulling trailers and plowing snow. Is this a good work bike?

Default Question About Expedition

I have a y2k 425Xpedition, and would say it would be a great choice for your intended usage. It is by far easier to plow with a manual geared quad, If you use a winch with a handlebar mounted rocker switch, your hands never have to leave the handlebars. As far as towing, I have pulled a rotting 12x50 something house trailor, with flat tires, out of the woods to tear it down. Retail on the 2000 425 new was $6200, although you could get them considerably cheaper. Polaris discontinued the Xpedition for the 03 model year, due to poor sales, and I've seen remaining 425 inventory for as low as $4400, excluding fluff and taxes, at a local dealer. I would suspect the 325 to be considerably cheaper. 31 hours is breakin time. If it's been treated well, i'd think you'd be very happy with it. Mine's been bulletproof, except for occasional self inflicted casualties. If it is a 425, I would say $3500 is a good deal. You might want to check with your local dealers though, on new stock.
