Has anyone gone ahead and just changed the oil with out the filter. I told on the synthetic that you have to make sure it can be used for wet clutch . I run amsoil that is made for wet clutch.

 

I was able to order filters from a dealer in Phoenix so I did an oil change after one hour like the manual says. I used Castrol Act-Evo 10W30, which is synthetic-based and the same stuff I use in my other quads, including my previous 400EX and it worked (and works) fine.

Do you by chance have that dealer phone no. or address maybe I can order a couple. I was told we won't get any filters till the 20th

 

It is "shim under bucket". Not "shim over bucket". Their are about 29 different sized shims to choose from. The worst part is when you go to adjust them, they could all need the same size or each one may be different. Like I said before, this set-up can actually develope some interesting symptoms. I'll be watching out to see if/when anyone mentions any of these in the future. I'll be more than happy to help out then. Until then it is knowledge I get paid to exercise.
