Cstark is right, there IS a lot of BS in this forum. The "other" guys keep bringing it in on their boots. Cstark, maybe next time you come here to say something "intelligent" you will wipe your feet on the welcome mat at the POLARIS FORUM front door...

"yes most guys with 3 wheel drive hondas think it is don't blame polaris cause they make a better pulling machine. If you want to blame somebody, blame honda that are to cheap to make a device to put it in 2 or 4 wheel drive so you could add lockers without hard steering. I am tired of arguing this subject too...that anyone could believe that a 3 wheel drive machine can pull with a 4 wheel drive machine even with the newer limited slip on the rancher...it is still only 3 wheels pulling at one time...and about the belt slipping I have not experienced this but if I do I can live with it, its a lot better than going out buying an expensive chain, front clog and rear clog...think I will stick with a $35 belt.
Honda is satisfied with what pulling power there bikes have or they would create a 2 to 4 drive switch instead of coming out with a sugar coated 3 wheel drive limited slip that is just about basically the same thing. If you are serious about climbing buy a polaris, if you want less than the best in this area buy a 3 wheel drive"
Well Mr. Atving your right as usual, us Honda boys are always talking trash about your poor Polaris'. By the way, there apears to be at least one Polaris rider who is on the Honda forum talking trash, as the above Quote would Indicate. So Atving, any ideas as to who this disreputable fellow is?

Well Bill I guess your idea of talking trash and my idea of talking trash are to different ideas... I was merely answering a question that was ask in the honda forum...not starting a post that said "Honda sucks" I was answering a question based on facts. I think different owners of atvs going to different forums is the best thing that can happen...I mean how would honda owners know how a true 4 wheel drive pulls, how nice it is to have a switch for 2 to 4 wheel drive, how nice IRS rides and how nice disc brakes are that you just come back from riding and spray off. I personally like to go to the honda forum to watch people defend bikes based on the same 10 year design you know the story bore it out from a 400cc to a 450cc and charge a $1000 dollars more, or even better yet bore out a 450cc to a 500cc add water cooling and add another $1000 or MORE now there is a real bike deal and what is so sad its still only 3 wheel drive.

Most of us have owned other makes and can see through the smoke and haze. I had a difficult time trying a polaris myself. Most of my hunting buddies have Polaris machines and none have any problems--oldest is a '92. I still have Honda sport machines in my garage. I don't see that their is one machine that will do all jobs. It is my belief that the big "P" makes the best utility quads made and if I got on the sports bikes I would probably like them too. I think most of the bashers have'nt been exposed to more than one bike. If you look at the Honda line they have"nt introduced one new feature. The pushrod engine, air cooling , straight axle, drum brakes, and even an automatic(if you ever see a Rubicon) that they used in a motorcycle 20 years ago--and it did'nt sell and was dropped. With all this cutting edge technology its no wonder you can make them reliable. You keep the '30's model "T" and i'll ride the "oo Cadillac.

I have no problem with Polaris. I think that they make some nice machines. And I never once have said that they suck.
The problem here is nit-picking. When someone reads my signiture, and see's that I ride a Honda. But am posting in the "Polaris Forum". Everyone falls all over themselves, trying to think of something cleaver to rip on "Honda" about. Why?
What rule says that I can not post in this forum. Why is everyone so uptight?
Aren't we all on the same team here?(atv vs. the world) Or am I missing something.
You should be more worried about where your going to ride in 5 years when all of the public land and trails are closed.

My brother works at a Honda shop. Great bikes.
But even the owners know about Polaris. They want the local franchise but fall into the 14 mile rule...can't have 2 dealers within 14 miles.
Everything they say to clients is hype. They WANT to offer Polaris.
My brother sells those Hondas (and Yammers too)every day. Nothing has changed...he still comes home to ride his Scrambler 500.

Bob4x4, right on the money. While everyone is at it why don't they read the new post called "Should be called rubicant not rubicon" - or something like that. Another fine illustration of our beloved Atving just trying to stir it up. I own Polaris and Honda, both have there strong and weak points I just don't understand why this guy has such a thing for bashing other quads.

You are correct we should be more worried about places to ride. It's really not important what you ride it's that you ride. But dont come in here from the Honda forum bashing our rides not expecting a argument,I pride myself in my decision to buy what I consider the greatest Utility Atv created so far,I have had one problem but I caused the problem not Polaris, but my local dealer helped me fix it in the most econmcal way.
If you have owned a Polaris and had problems complain all you want if you havent owned one or even tried one than be quite. I have owned a Honda so I can say the dag gum thing would not start to save it's life in summer or winter especially the winter and doesnt the new mighty Rancher have a problem with some bad welds on the frames so Honda has there problems too. They have been producing bikes and quads for how many years,a whole lot longer than Polaris so dont talk to us about quality either the guys at Polaris are still learning and getting better slowly but surely. Ride one give it a chance you may like it and if not your entilted to your opinon.
You ride what you want I'll ride what I want and we will all be having fun.
